Launch 'Three Quality' Initiative, Research and Establish Advanced Product Supply Chain! Eight Ministries Jointly Issue Document to Promote Stable Growth in Building Materials Industry

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, and seven other ministries jointly issued the 'Action Plan for Stable Growth of the Building Materials Industry' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Plan'), proposing that the building materials industry maintain stable growth from 2023 to 2024, with annual industrial added value growth rates reaching around 3.5% and 4%, respectively, while continuously advancing industrial high-endization, intelligence, and green transformation.

The Plan focuses on implementing 10 specific tasks across four key areas: investment, supply, green building materials, and international cooperation.

In expanding effective investment, clearly promote green transformation, support regions and enterprises with conditions to pilot low-carbon projects; advance intelligent upgrading; accelerate construction of key projects, support leading enterprises in key regions to drive innovation, and build advanced manufacturing clusters with global competitiveness.

In enhancing effective supply:Organize and launch the 'Three Quality' campaign—expanding product variety, improving quality, and creating brand value—in the building materials industry. Research and establish a traceable system for precast concrete components, waterproofing membranes, thermal insulation materials, and construction waste recycling products.

In promoting green building materials and circular consumption concepts, clearly deepen green building materials initiatives, expand urban applications, and improve certification systems for green building materials products.
