① Base Cleaning
Use spatula, trowel, paintbrush, and roller to thoroughly clean the base surface — remove dust, debris, grease, and standing water. Ensure no cracks, unevenness, or bulges remain. Repair any irregularities with filler. Wall edges must be aligned using a string line to ensure flatness, stability, and no cracks or protrusions.
② Material Preparation
Use mixing bucket, handheld mixer, and measuring cup to prepare materials. Always pour liquid first into the bucket, then continuously stir while adding powder until fully mixed. Mix for at least 15 minutes until smooth, uniform, free of lumps or clumps. Use one bucket of liquid with one bag of powder — do not mix partially.
③ Undercoat Application
The undercoat strengthens the bond between the coating and the base. Apply with a long-handled scraper, ensuring even coverage without dripping. (Skip if base condition is excellent.)
④ Detailed Waterproof Treatment
Apply enhanced treatment at vulnerable areas such as pipe roots, pipe joints, corners, and construction seams. Around pipe roots and joints, use sealing compound to seal gaps. Then apply 1–2 coats of JX388 original-formula polymer water-based waterproof coating. Reinforce corners and joints with mesh fabric or cloth (300mm width) before applying the coating.
⑤ Main Coating Layer
After completing detailed treatment and allowing the coating to cure, apply the main layer. Use either a trowel or roller, ensuring even spreading without pooling. Apply multiple passes to eliminate air bubbles between the coating and base.
⑥ Waterproof Layer Inspection
Inspect during and after application. Any defects found must be repaired immediately. On-site workers and inspectors must accompany each step. Only proceed to the next stage after passing inspection. Pay special attention to junctions, corners, and corner joints to ensure correct technique.
⑦ Subsequent Work Process
Allow the coating to fully cure for at least 2 days before proceeding with subsequent work. After completion, protect the waterproof layer to prevent damage from foot traffic or external forces.
▲ On-site Application Recommended
1. Conduct safety training and technical briefing before work begins. Strictly follow safety regulations during operations;
2. Workers must wear safety helmets, work uniforms, and soft-soled shoes. When working at heights, install safety barriers promptly;
3. Workers must strictly follow all operational instructions. Absolutely prohibited from working in violation of rules;
4. All electrical equipment on site must be properly installed and grounded;Leakage protection devices, and use electric tools correctly;
5. Powder material should be stored in dry areas; liquid material must be kept above 5°C in a shaded, cool place. Prepared mixture must be used within 3 hours;
6. Each work area must complete one full process before moving on. Never hand off tasks mid-process;
7. Clean tools immediately after work to avoid hardening and difficulty cleaning later;
8. Protect pipe areas during installation to avoid damage or displacement;
9. Strictly prohibit drilling or hammering on completed waterproof layers;
10. The coating layer must fully cure for at least 2 days before protective layer application can begin.
