Chasing Red Footprints, Walking the Red Road: Jinling Water Defense Group Launches 'July 1st' Theme Military Day Activities

As the People's Liberation Army approaches its 104th anniversary, to profoundly embody the eternal light of the 'Two Bombs, One Satellite' spirit and the fearless pioneering legacy of revolutionary martyrs, we guide all members to feel, inherit, and carry forward the noble qualities of the great scientists and revolutionaries—patriotism, dedication, selflessness, and integrity. We will integrate the exemplary spirit of our predecessors into the foundation of enterprise development, further solidify ideological beliefs, strengthen party discipline cultivation, and enhance responsibility and commitment. From June 28 to 29, the Jinling Water Defense Group organized a 'Chasing Red Footprints, Walking the Red Road' July 1st theme military day activity. Comrade Jie Dafu, the group's Party Secretary, the Jinling Water Defense Group Party Branch, the Chongqing Jinling Science and Technology Military Branch, all members of the organization, and about 30 active party members and enthusiastic youth representatives participated, embarking on a journey to trace the source of faith and experience the high-spirited red legacy.

Exploring the Two Bombs City

Feeling the Spirit of 'Hidden Identity, Glorious Name'

On June 28, the team arrived at the 'China Two Bombs City' with deep reverence. Members entered the Two Bombs History Museum, the Science and Technology Museum, and the Cultural Relics Museum, where they were moved by yellowed documents, simple research tools, and silent film footage—each speaking volumes about how heroes forged their lives under extreme conditions. Standing in the modest living quarters of the pioneers, this small space, basic furnishings, made the phrase 'doing earth-shaking deeds while remaining anonymous' suddenly tangible and real. One item, one artifact—silent yet powerful; within the study room, the weight of national responsibility was clearly evident. As members stood before the solemn images of the early pioneers, they solemnly recited the oath, laid flowers, raised their fists, and affirmed their unwavering resolve—like standing before the martyrs themselves, pledging to uphold the fire of faith and never let it fade in the new era of water defense work.

Walking into the Past of Qilin

Echoes from the Era of 'I Carry the Spirit'

On the morning of June 29, the team visited the Qilin Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall in Qilin County. Inside the solemn hall, the light of the martyrs—from the children of soldiers to the founding figures of the revolution—shone continuously. A single artifact, a series of historical photographs, vividly revealed the heroic character of 'great as the sea in magnitude, firm as steel in will,' and the enduring spirit of unity between the people and the revolution. Walking along the footpaths once trodden by the martyrs, listening to stories of their hearts and minds, their sacrifices for the people, and the deep emotional weight behind the four characters 'Sacrifice for the Revolution,' participants felt a profound sense of history and honor. The concept of 'selfless glory' gained deeper, more profound meaning through these personal experiences.

Main Theme Forum

Gathering the Momentum of 'Staying True to Our Original Intent'

During the return journey, the grand forum for the 'July 1st Red Theme Military Day' is scheduled to be held. The session will be chaired by Comrade Jie Zheng, the Party Secretary of the Jinling Water Defense Group Party Branch. The Chongqing Jinling Science and Technology Military Branch Party Secretary, Comrade Jie Jing, led all attendees in studying the 'Law on Promoting Economic Development of the People’s Republic of China,' helping everyone deeply understand the significance of this law and the opportunities it brings to enterprises. Comrade Jie Zheng then read aloud the 'Eight Provisions on the Spirit of the Central Committee,' emphasizing the need to build a lasting, clean, and honest political culture. He urged all members to strictly abide by party rules and regulations, maintain clear and pure red roots. Following this, an intensive training session titled 'Building the Spirit of the Great Army, Writing New Answers on the Road of Hardship' was conducted, aiming to deepen understanding of the great spirit and inspire every member to contribute to the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation without hesitation.

Later, reflecting on what was seen, heard, thought, and felt during this visit, the participants shared their insights and emotions. In light of current market trends and corporate realities, they offered constructive suggestions for company development and discussed how to effectively integrate the spiritual inspiration drawn from this red education activity into their respective roles, thereby contributing meaningful strength to the company’s growth.

At the end of the meeting, Comrade Jie Dafu delivered a concluding speech, stating:

This activity is not just a spiritual pilgrimage—it is also a collective awakening and a renewed call to action. The members of the Jinling Water Defense Group have drawn strength from the footprints of the pioneers and deeply absorbed the essence of their legacy. The group’s Party Branch will continue to guide members with the spirit of 'Doing Earth-Shaking Deeds, Remaining Anonymous' and the depth of character embodied in 'Being a Hero Behind the Scenes.' In the vast landscape of the new era of water defense, they will write pages of brilliance—unwavering in their commitment to the past, unyielding in the face of time!
