The 'General Code' clearly raises and improves the design service life requirements for waterproofing projects, redefines waterproofing grades based on two dimensions: type of waterproofing project and usage environment. Through enhanced design, construction, quality inspection, and full lifecycle maintenance control, it increases durability requirements for waterproof materials, adds more waterproof channels and material thickness, meets the design service life requirements, comprehensively elevates waterproofing project quality, thereby laying a solid foundation for reducing building leakage rates and fundamentally eliminating long-term leakage-related risks.

At the meeting, Jinling Waterproof Group's Chief Technical Officer He Li delivered a comprehensive interpretation of the 2023 waterproofing new standards.
